A Monstera loves a lot of bright indirect light, but can tolerate low-light situations. Direct light could burn the leaves and too little light could make the leaves turn yellow.
You should water a Monstera when the soil is dry at the top. Don’t let the soil dry out too much, because this could result in brown and crispy edges on the leaves.
